World Blood Donor Day – June 14

The Red Cross no longer serves beer after donating… but I enjoy a Coke with a ‘Chicken, lettuce and Mayo’ sandwich whist reading the newspaper. It’s around 45 minutes of your time knowing it’s going to help someone else.

World Blood Donor Day is celebrated on 14th June 14. It encourages people to give blood, save lives without asking for anything in return.

Blood donor day is intended to raise the awareness of the need for safe blood.

Transfusion of blood, plasma and blood products helps save millions of lives every year. It helps patients who suffer from life-threatening conditions, to live longer and with a higher quality of life. It supports complex medical and surgical procedures.

It does not hurt, doesn’t take long and you know you will be doing good.

If you are already donating, that’s great, maybe I’ll see you at Pelican Plaza sometime. Otherwise you can Contact Red Cross or Call 131495

Not sure about it, call me on 83961100.
